​ 3W Racing updates Web site for 2021
The 3W Racing team has updated its Web site for 2021. The site includes driver and team profile pages, the team's 2021 schedule (subject to change), contact information, and a greatly expanded gallery of photo images. The entire team is excited to get back out on the track after a successful 2020 season.

​FEB 27, 2021 DuQuoin Indoor kicks off season
The 2021 season kicked off for the 3W Racing team this weekend, with Jon competing in the #20 DRC at the famed indoor facility. The race, co-sanctioned by USAC SpeeD2 Midwest Thunder and Illinois Midget Racing Associations provided two nights of racing for the SpeeD2 midgets. MTM member Chett Gehrke took feature wins both nights. Early season gremlins plagued the #20 car, as brake issues made it difficult for Jon to enter the tight corners of the indoor race facility. He chose to pull off on Friday night during the feature rather than damage the car. Swapping in a new axle in order to address a potentially bent LF rotor, practice and heat race went well, but brake issues re-appeared in the night two feature, and led to a flip off the inside berm. Off to Hawk Chassis for some minor repairs after the car gets stripped down (again). November 12 Alex Watson 12th in USAC SpeeD2 Midwest Thunder Midget Series Points
Alex Watson of Columbus, Ohio finished 12th in the USAC SpeeD2 MTM Points Championship. Alex usually carries the #3 on his Stealth/Ecotec, but this season switched to #41 to honor his crewchief and longtime USAC Focus series car owner Wally Sexton who passed away earlier this year. He is sponsored by Heads 1st Cylinder Heads and Hinchman Indy Racewear. Watson was the 2015 USAC Midwest HPD Champion, and has been in the top five of MTM points in each of the last four years. He was limited to only 10 appearances in 2020 with three top five finishes.
​October 25 Jon Watson 22nd in USAC SpeeD2 Midwest Thunder Midget Series Points
The driver finishing 22nd in the USAC SpeeD2 Midwest Thunder Midgets points series is Jon Watson, a Columbus, Ohio native now residing in St. Louis, Missouri. Given the long commute, Jon was only able to make five races this season, with best finishes of a 10th at the July US 24 race and a 7th at the September 11th Gas City Race. He debuted his #20 DRC/Ecotec this season, co-owned with his father Greg, with maintenance and set-up assistance from his brother Alex. The car is sponsored by Heads 1st Cylinder Head Service of Westville, Indiana.
